After speaking with some of our charities, we learned that sometimes the only gift a child receives comes from Golf Fore Kids.
One mother who was laid off said, "The gift my six year old received was the only gift under the tree last Christmas. He is still enjoying his Spider Man action set and bike. Thank you for making our Christmas Day" - Detroit, MI

For those of you wondering, it has been a fantastic golf season. Since we last met, my high school varsity golf team has won our division, and I got to play with some amazing guys. I shot 6 over par at Michigan District Qualifiers for a chance to play against the top 30 junior golfers (15 and under) at the Michigan Junior Amateurs at the prestigious A Ga Ming Golf Club in Traverse City in July. Also, I secured a few top-place finishes and wins at local tournaments. I had a chance to go back and volunteer as a coach too. School is going well, with freshman year behind me, making the high honor roll this year, and completing a few college courses, including my favorites, US History Since 1945 and piano, as I focus on creative arts and advertising. I am now ready for my sophomore year at Oakland Early College.
Emily has been busy now studying competitive dance and finishing the 3rd grade. She is really excited amount this year's event.
Hopefully, it goes without saying, Golf Fore Kids is the highlight of my year. Last year we collected over 1,000 toys for Michigan families.
We partnered with Brightmoor Church to donate to the families of Highland Park, MI. Some of your donations were the only toy a child received for Christmas. We continued to work with Home’s for Black Church and our friends at Samartias.
Emily and I hope you will help us exceed our goal again this year! Thank you all, and see you September 10 at Bushwood GC!
